What is this blog for?
It is a messy common placeholder for all the hints and tricks I've gathered on the internet and in my own brain, so I could workaround stuff I was struggling with (and that's the soft way to say it).

I may write here about anything I'm geeking around with. No personal crap, just hard and soft -ware. It's a little project of turning a Raspberry Pi into a media center which triggered the creation of this blog. And an arcade play center project as well. With bluetooth remotes. Possibly PS4 ones (but I may never achieve that one). And many other geek projects I may detail later on.
Why this blog name?
"Galérien" is a french word which designates a person enslaved to row into big ships. It was a nice alternative to jail in the old times, so nice that this word is now used as an expression to designate a person struggling hard in whatever context. If a geek had to be picked up for his capabilities to struggle against everything that would be me, the galérien geek.
